Sign your paperwork
You’ll sign a BAA and a beta agreement, so your clients’ records are covered from day one. That’s the only thing that has to happen before October 1.
Set up your account and take an onboarding survey
Join our dedicated Discord for immediate support. Follow a guided checklist to set up your profile, bring your client data over, and connect relevant accounts such as Google Calendar, Square, and a telehealth link. Tell us which platform you’re leaving and we’ll walk you through the export. At the end of the week, a short survey catches your first impressions while setup is fresh.

Is it safe?A signed BAA before you start, HIPAA compliance from day one, and your data stays yours.
Real clients and real records, so we hold ourselves to the highest standard.
- A signed BAA before you start. You’ll sign a business associate agreement before a single client record exists, the same as with any established EHR.
- HIPAA compliant from day one. Records are encrypted the whole time they’re with us, walled off from every other therapist, and logged every time one is opened.
- We don’t sell your data or your clients’ data. We look at how the product gets used, not at your clinical content.
- Export your data at any time, during the beta or after.
- If we ever stop operating, you’ll know well ahead of time. Ample notice, and the chance to export everything you need.

- Solo practice. Running or launching one, as a sole proprietor or single-member LLC.
- Private-pay or superbill-based. We don’t file insurance claims at this stage.
- Your practice runs on TrustedPsych. October 1 to December 3, your work and your clients here rather than split across two systems.
- Your own telehealth account. We attach your Zoom or preferred link to appointments, but we don’t host video.
- A Square account. Free to create and takes a few minutes.
- Honest feedback. It directly shapes what we build.

01The commitment
How many spots are there and when do applications close?
There are 35 spots available. Applications close September 25 or sooner if we fill the seats before then. We’re keeping it this small on purpose to ensure we capture your feedback and give you the support you need.
How much of my time will this take?
Roughly 3 hours in total, setup included. Everything else is running your practice on it.
Do I have to cancel my current EHR?
That’s your call. We encourage you to cancel and download anything you need so you can fully focus on TrustedPsych, but we understand if that’s not feasible right away. You can keep your old EHR for a month or two while you transition, at no extra cost since TrustedPsych is free for 3 months. What we do ask is that you actually run your practice on TrustedPsych: your work and your clients here, not split across two systems.
Can I stop if it isn’t a fit?
Yes, participation is voluntary and you can step out at any time. The founding-member rate though is only for participants who complete the nine weeks.
02Getting set up
What do I need to do before October 1?
Sign your BAA and beta agreement. That’s it. Setting up your account and bringing your clients over both happen in week 1, so there’s nothing to rush between applying and the start date.
How do I get my clients into TrustedPsych?
Tell us which platform you’re coming from and we’ll tell you exactly what to export, then walk you through the upload. Right now the import covers client demographic information only. You will need to input appointment information manually.
Do I need a Square account?
Yes. Payments, invoices and autopay run through Square. Creating an account is free, and the processing fee goes to Square rather than to us.
What will my existing clients have to do?
They will have to respond to an email from us asking them to confirm their appointment and set up their account. We’ll give you ready-to-send language to prep them so the email isn’t a surprise.
03Cost and your rate
What does it cost?
Nothing for three months. Every feature is unlocked from day one and you don’t need a card to start. After that it’s $30 a month against a list price of $49.
What happens to my rate if you raise prices?
It doesn’t move. That’s what a founding-member rate is for. If our list price changes, you’ll still be paying $30.
What happens when the beta ends?
Your three free months run past December 3, so you keep going for about another month before deciding whether to stay on at $30. If you’d rather leave, export your data and go.
Is my directory listing free too?
Yes, and it stays free whether or not you ever pay us. The listing, consultation booking and client identity verification are on the free plan for every therapist, beta or not.
04Privacy, safety and support
Will you use my clients’ data for anything?
No. We don’t sell it, we don’t share it with third parties, and we don’t hand your clinical records to outside providers to train on.
What happens to my records if TrustedPsych doesn’t continue?
You’d get ample notice well before anything changed, plus the ability to export everything you need.
What if something breaks?
We can’t promise you that the experience will be perfect. As part of the beta, we’re relying on you to identify bugs we might have missed. If you find one, you’ll report it directly on the platform and we’ll address it as soon as possible.
